[Anglican Taonga] The Auckland Diocesan Synod in New Zealand has decided that people in same-sex relationships should not be excluded from ordination.
After a debate lasting much of Sept. 3, synod agreed that sexual orientation should not be an impediment to ordination or any other offices in the church.

I address this Open Letter to you in response to your article, The New Apostolic Reformation: an Update (Aug. 19, 2011).
Evangelical Christians everywhere, but particularly also here in South Africa, have to take issue with you for deceptively presenting the NAR as a movement which subscribes to "all the standard classic statements of Christian doctrine", for creating false expectations of introducing God's kingdom on earth by, among others, using an unbiblical form of strategic spiritual warfare, for completely negating biblical prophecies on the end-time, and also for associating a Christian reformation with the African Independent Church Movement.

A Christian bookshop threatened in the riots in London last week has been miraculously protected.
Windows of the large corner shop in the Lavender Hill area were smashed in, but none of the Bibles or books were touched and only a few coins were missing from the till.
The Cornerstone Christian Bookshop has been serving the community for over 21 years. According to DigitalJournal, a gang of looters began to set light to the shop before running away, but one rioter amazingly returned to extinguish the fire allowing the shop to open up for business after only one day of closure. Only a 15cm fire mark remains of the attempted arson.

Defend Africa Meeting
The Christian Voice July newsletter reported Prime Minister David Cameron's boast to a party of homosexual activists at 10 Downing Street that he will be using aid to African nations to force them to legalise homosexual acts (aka sodomy). SEE HERE .
No doubt pressure will be brought against the Caribbean islands as well. So we are holding a meeting at the Emmanuel Centre in Victoria, central London on the afternoon of Thursday 8th September in London, beginning at 2pm, to co-ordinate a defence of African morality against Cameron's cultural imperialism. This meeting will be for Christian pastors and people, politicians, and all who wish to resist this neo-colonialism. It will have an eye on the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth at the end of October this year. Email me back if you are able to help co-ordinate this project and reach those who matter between now and the meeting.

The Church of England will cease to exist in 20 years as the current generation of elderly worshippers dies, Anglican leaders warned yesterday.
The average age of its members is now 61 and by 2020 a "crisis" of "natural wastage" will lead to their numbers falling "through the floor", the Church's national assembly was told.
The Church was compared to a company "impeccably" managing itself into failure, during exchanges at the General Synod in York.
The warnings follow an internal report calling for an urgent national recruitment drive to attract more members.
In the past 40 years, the number of adult churchgoers has halved, while the number of children attending regular worship has declined by four fifths.
The Rev Dr Patrick Richmond, a Synod member from Norwich, told the meeting that some projections suggested that the Church would no longer be "functionally extant" in 20 years' time.
Christian Palestinianism and the anti-Israel Crusade
The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: "Have you not observed that these people are saying, "˜The LORD has rejected the two clans that He chose'? Thus they have despised my people so that they are no longer a nation in their sight" (Jeremiah 33:23,24).
One man who has consistently despised the nation of Israel is Naim Stifan Ateek, a Palestinian Anglican clergyman from Beth She'an. In his Easter message in 2001, Ateek made the following statement:

DALLAS, TX-- A team of geneticists recently analyzed 6,529 individual genomes, representing 107 different human populations. :"( :"(Moorjani, P. et al. 2011. The History of African Gene Flow into Southern Europeans, Levantines, and Jews. PLoS Genetics. 7, 4: e1001373)":)": They found genetic traces of African ancestry in various people groups and estimated the timing of the ancient African/non-African intermarriages. The results of their analysis of Jewish populations will come as no surprise to those who believe in the literal history of Genesis. Despite their extensive statistical analyses of reams of genetic data, the researchers relied on traditional historical sources to anchor their results to actual time. And along the way, what the authors termed a "striking finding" would actually have been anticipated by a more biblically literate investigation.
